PAYİDAR ŞEYMA ALIŞIR

Payidar Şeyma Alışır, born in 1978 in Turkey, graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts and Graphic Design at Işık University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. She worked for many years as a Graphic Art Director across various fields, including creative, digital, and outdoor agencies, as well as TV, series, and magazines. She has participated in numerous local and international group exhibitions. In her work, Alışır incorporates photography, 3D modeling, artificial intelligence, and digital imaging programs. Her creative process typically involves combining materials she photographs in her studio with AI- generated portraits. The materials she uses include both organic and inorganic elements such as oil paint, fabric, and stone. These elements are later restructured digitally through AI and photographic tools. The process of merging female portraits with these materials offers a distinct perspective on both art history and contemporary narratives.
